Transcendent Group wishes you a Wonderful Christmas Time and a Happy New year

This year, Transcendent Group has decided to give our Christmas Gifts to charity in a total amount of 87 400 SEK, and have given 25 700 SEK to WWF’s Climate Project, 25 700 to the Kula Project, and 25 700 to Plan International’s project A Working Future and 10 000 NOK to Doctors Without Borders

The decision to sponsor these three organizations was made by Transcendent Group’s Corporate Social Responsibility Committee. The Committee has decided that Transcendent Group should work towards UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

The goals we’re committed to are:

  • Goal 4: Quality Education
    • Target 4: By 2030, substantially increase the number of youth and adults who have relevant skills, including technical and vocational skills, for employment, decent jobs and entrepreneurship
  • Goal 5: Gender Equality and empower all women and girls
    • Target 5: Ensure women’s full and effective participation and equal opportunities for leadership at all levels of decision-making in political, economic and public life
    • Target 7: Undertake reforms to give women equal rights to economic resources, as well as access to ownership and control over land and other forms of property, financial services, inheritance and natural resources, in accordance with national laws.
  • Goal 12: Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns
    • Target 2: By 2030, achieve the sustainable management and efficient use of natural resources
    • Target 6: encourage companies, especially large and transnational companies, to adopt sustainable practices and to integrate sustainability information into their reporting cycle.

Based on these goals and target, the committee decided on three organizations that strives for the same things.

Our gift to WWF goes to their environmental and nature conservation work. Thanks to our gift, WWF can continue their work to reduce contamination and unsustainable consumption.

The Kula Project eradicates poverty in Rwanda through the development of entrepreneurs. Through their fellowship that provides industry training, business investment, and life and leadership skills for both women and men, their fellows are empowered to build profitable businesses, raise healthy families, and send their children to school. Our gift will go to their initiative to build and maintain women’s centers to encourage the participation of women to the fellowship programs

Our gift to Plan International’s project A Working Future supports Plan International’s youth economic empowerment project in Tanzania, which connects young people with access to financial services, teaches them work skills and links them to job opportunities. A big part of the projects success rate is due the use of digital devises and platforms.

In addition to that, Transcendent Group Norway decided to support Doctors Without Borders, after a vote among many different charities.

In total, Transcendent Group AB, Transcendent Group Stockholm AB and Transcendent Group Norge AS has donated;

  • 25 667 SEK to WWF’s Climate project
