At Transcendent Group we promote internal movements and continuously make sure that our employees can enrich their skillset. It is a pleasure to announce that Transcendent Group has appointed Maria Haug Edvardsen as the new CEO of Transcendent Group Norway, and Carsten Maartmann-Moe as the new Global Head of Cyber Security. Maria and Carsten are both internal recruitments for these positions and will proceed to their new roles 1st of September.

Maria Haug Edvardsen has been with Transcendent Group for almost 9 years and is currently Head of Risk and Compliance of the company’s Norwegian operations.

“I am very much looking forward to continuing to build and further develop this fantastic organization together with my highly skilled, committed, and caring colleagues who make me look forward to coming to work every day. In a highly competitive market where there is a high demand for GRC expertise, my focus will be to ensure that we are the most attractive workplace for our employees. We are also entering an exciting time ahead for our company where I see great opportunities for our employees, our business, and our valuable culture to further grow and develop.”, says Maria Haug Edvardsen.

“I am very happy that Maria Haug Edvardsen has accepted the position of CEO in Norway. She is an important ambassador for the company’s culture. Her expertise in risk and compliance, combined with in-depth knowledge of the company’s business, customers, and markets, makes her an important asset for the company’s continued development, both locally in Norway but also as part of Group Management.”, says Lars Reidar Vold-Andersen, CEO, Transcendent Group.

Carsten Maartmann-Moe has been with Transcendent Group for almost 8 years and has been CEO of the company’s Norwegian operation since 2019.

“Cyber is a borderless issue, and not something that will be solved locally. That’s why I’m very excited to leave the helm of TG Norway to Maria and head up our global cyber team. We’ve had great success building our cyber business to where it is today, and I think we will be even more successful when we put our effort in building a truly global team. There’s a huge shortage of talent, and complex issues to be solved, both in privacy, security governance, cyber security in emerging tech such as AI and IoT, and more. I intend to help our clients tackle these issues, supplying them with the best expertise.

It is also a great pleasure to have talented and proven leaders such as Maria to take TG to the next level and beyond. I’ve had such a blast working with Maria over the years, and she is one of the persons that is truly living out our values. I’m excited to see what she can accomplish together with the amazing Norwegian team!”, says Carsten Maartmann-Moe.

“Our service offering in cyber security is one of our strongest and has great potential to grow further. Carsten Maartmann-Moe has solid expertise within cyber security and how companies are affected by cyber risks. Additionally, he can communicate with all parts of an organization – from technical IT staff to management and the board. With this effort, we will accelerate our growth in the area and meet the growing demand “, says Lars Reidar Vold-Andersen, CEO, Transcendent Group.
