It is with great pleasure that we welcome Daniël Smidts to Transcendent Group’s office in the Netherlands. Daniël started on the 1st of May and has long and broad experience in delivering assurance and risk advisory services. In his previous role as associate partner at EY, he developed and led Internal Audit, Risk Management & Compliance solution offerings to the Dutch financial services sector.
– For me, it is like all pieces fall into place when Remon and I started discussing market trends and the vision for the office in the Netherlands. Daniël has over 17 years of experience of which the last 13 years with EY in various assurance and risk advisory roles. He has a clear, pragmatic and proven approach towards addressing regulatory change, especially from a governance, risk and compliance perspective. Based on his experience he is uniquely positioned to grow our brand and services to our Dutch clients with high-end GRC-services locally whilst also creating a healthy ecosystem of impactful alliance partners. The mix of experience from both operational and more strategic advisory enables him to truly make a lasting impact and sustainable change. Daniël is a wonderfully positive and competent person who will be an important contributor to our further growth towards the financial sector.
