Transcendent Group strengthens focus on digitalization by appointing a CEO for RegTech

October 10, 2019

During 2019, Transcendent Group launched the subsidiary RegTech (Regulatory Technology) with the objective to fill an empty space in the market by developing and supplying digital GRC services. RegTech’s first product, RFA (Regulatory Framework Application) is a digital service that help its users to maintain, administrate and develop the internal regulatory framework. It has quickly attracted customers and is perceived to have great potential to continued growth. RegTech is an important cornerstone in the company’s growth strategy, with the objective to streamline both customers and the company’s own internal processes through digitalization.

The position as the interim CEO of RegTech has been appointed to Magnus Karlsson as a part of his role as the company’s Chief Operation Officer. At the same time, a recruitment process has been initiated to appoint a new CEO of RegTech.

-We are now taking the next step in Transcendent Group’s growth journey by appointing a CEO for our fast-growing subsidiary RegTech. Our upcoming IPO is another step in our ambition to capture the potential that we see within development of digital services. Magnus has a good overview of our service offering from his previous positions in the company. He has worked with around 100 different clients which gives him a good understanding of what challenges our clients face, and how RegTech can contribute to increase the value-creation, said Martin Malm, CEO Transcendent Group.

Magnus Karlsson has been a part of Transcendent Group in various positions since 2007. He has previously worked as a senior consultant at Deloitte and holds a degree in Computer and Systems Sciences.

-RegTech is a very topical area and I am convinced that our product RFA can revolutionize the compliance function. Today, many companies spend too much time creating regulations rather than implementing and monitoring them. RFA can save both time and money and move focus to the implementation phase. Over time, we will capture the possibilities of digitalization within the full service offering of Transcendent Group, with focus on new innovations that create value for both our clients and employees, said Magnus Karlsson.
